My BMW 320d is auotomatic and averages 42mpg (USA measurement) combined city country driving. It also goes like the clappers when I want it to. I guess that's what you get with a twin turbo common rail diesel built with precision German Engineering ...... Therefore, Cap & Trade is completely unnecessary.
