When it was introduced in 1989, Chevy Lumina was available in sedan and minivan until later in 1997 Lumina APV was replaced by Chevrolet Venture to avoid confusion. Lumina is intended to replace Chevy Celebrity and Chevy Monte Carlo. Like any other vehicle thrown on market, Chevy Lumina also has one ‘high performance’ variant, which is Chevrolet Lumina Z34 with 3.4 L DOHC LQ1 V6 engine fitted on it engine compartment.
